Flying with a twist of your hand - with Flype and EarthGlider
A new flight simulator for Google Earth can be controlled by iPhone: With "EarthGlider" on the Mac and the app "Flype", your iPhone becomes a wireless joystick.
By tilting and rolling the iPhone your flight is controlled with ease. The EarthGlider will precisely follow your hand moving the iPhone. Flype uses the built-in accelerometers of the iPhone. All control commands work in real time on the Mac over WLAN.
With a touch of your finger you control the speed of your flight, toggle display of streets, location names and 3D buildings. To store a favorite place, simply tap on the screen. Tap a placemark and be warped over there instantly.
Installation of EarthGlider is dead simple - just copy the app to your Mac. The usage of Flype is intuitive and brings lots of fun. To see Flype in action visit the website of „tin:b Software“ and watch some stunning YouTube videos.
The Mac software EarthGlider is free of charge. Flype – the wireless joystick for iPhone or iPod Touch – is available on the App Store for $3.99 (€ 2.99). All details at www.tinbert.com/Flype.
