Screenshots

Here you find some screenshots of Flype on the iTouch with descriptions of the buttons and options.

This is your welcome screen with version info:

Tap the gray "(i)" to go to the About page.

As soon as EarthGlider is started, a connection dialog appears:

Tap Connect. Nothing else to configure. You may check the connection on the Connect page:

Now it's time to go flyping. Tap the Flype button in the middle of the bottom toolbar.

This is your main screen, where the action takes place:

The buttons on the top control the EarthGlider:

  • Pause button to start/stop flyping
  • Record button to start/stop recording your flight in Google Earth's format
  • Set Placemark within Flype
  • Toggle view of streets
  • Toggle view of locations, i.e. cities, borders, etc.
  • Toggle view of 3D buildings

Next is the Places page. You can add your own places, or simply access the Online Places creates by other users:

Tap the Edit button to rearrange places or delete some of the boring ones:

Of course, you can't edit the online places!

The data of the places are automatically filled by Flype, but if you want to edit some info, tap the blue arrow right to an entry. The placemark editor page appears:

At the bottom of this page, you can edit the tilt, heading and starting speed to be applied when you go to this place.

If you want to share your favorite place, tap the Share button at top right. This opens a new page, where you may add your alias name and a proposal for a category, where the place should be entered in the online section:

Please note that you need to have Mail configured on your iTouch, because the place is sent by mail to tin:b Software for review.

Settings Page

On the settings page you can

  • Change/Goto your home place
  • Set the Map style
  • Change the measurement units (is it really called "imperial units"??)
  • Orientation of Map, i.e. North as top always or rotating to show Flype direction at top
  • North when paused will rotate the map "upside", so reading is sometimes easier
  • Toggle the map overlays, i.e. compass and tilt/roll indicators
  • Show help dialogs

This last screenshot shows Flype map with satellite view and metric units:

Keep on flyping!
