System Requirements

The application iRed runs on all Apple Macintosh computers - PPC and Intel - with Mac OS X 10.3.9 "Panther" or later installed.

Minimum hardware: G3 processor, 128 MB RAM and 5 MB space on hard disk, free USB port.

To use iRed to its full extent you need an infrared module IRTrans.
These are available as USB or Ethernet modules.

You may try out iRed without the infrared module as well. Sending and receiving of infrared codes will not be possible, though.

Please note that the built-in infrared ports of some Mac models are designed for data exchange ("IrDA"). They will not work with iRed.
