Learning of IR code with Global Caché modules

Because that's the most important news in iRed2 2.1 (other features may follow), I am mostly interested in your experiences with code learning.

In general, a code learned with one module should be reproduced by this same module without problems. However, in my tests, especially the iTach module seems to have some problems to "see" the IR signal when learning. It may take several trials, until the learning occurs. In my experiments I had to place the remote directly in front of the small hole besides the power connector of the iTach. 

Please tell me about your observations. 

If  a learned code seems not to work, please open the Advanced section of the Action Browser, then click "Discrete Code Settings". You'll get a panel like in this screenshot. You can then edit the Repeat Count (RC) setting, which sometimes is not learned correctly:
