Mac OS X 10.9 "Mavericks"

It looks like iRed2 is running well on "Mavericks".

Until now, there is only one caveat: Mavericks will "send iRed to nap" after some minutes of inactivity. This leads to problems with IRTrans USB devices, which will then nap, too, and IR code triggers will get really laggy.

There is a simple workaround:

  • Quit iRed
  • Go to Finder
  • Select iRed2 icon
  • Choose "Get Info" from Finder's "File" menu (or press Command-i)
  • Check "Prevent App Nap"
  • Close Info panel
  • Start iRed
