Hi, I'm new to this...
I created some iRed files (.irecrc) one one machine, building and debugging them, now I wish to move them to another machine. And I'm missing something.
Simply copying the .iredrc files to the other machine carries most of the information, but I am losing the AppleScript triggers. Where can I find these parts?
For the future, is there a better way for me to develop the VRCs and scripts?
My IRTrans is connected to a Mac Mini which is hidden away and does not have a keyboard attached, so I have been connecting over bonjour and developing the VRC and saving it as a local file. With the intention to later copy the files to the Mac Mini. How should I best achieve this.
Thanks,
Nic
See "Library/Application Support/iRed"
Nic,
iRed has created a folder "Library/Application Support/iRed" in your home directory. There all triggers and the archive is stored. You may just copy over the whole fiolder to the second machine.
For the future there is iRed2, of course. Sharing remotes between machines will be easier eventually, maybe not in the 2.0 release, unfortunately.
Sharing remotes in iRed 1.x is easier than you may think, though. If you copy over the iredrc file, all codes are contained within this file. Also its triggers and scripts, just anything. On the other hand, there are also triggers which are part of iRed's archive and are not part of a VRC.
