ired2 and eyetv

hi,

i've been using ired1 and the irtrans usb module for over 2 years now without any issues. i only use it to listen to

eyetv channel changes and change the channel on my digital set top box. is it worth it to upgrade to ired2? does the

same functionality still exist? i'm currently running os 10.5.8 and will move to snow leopard in a couple of weeks, will

this still work?

Try it, you'll like it!

you may try out iRed2 without any hassles. Your iRed 1 archive will be imported at start, but not altered in any way. So you can go back w/o problems. EyeTV support is part of iRed2. iRed 1 remotes has to be imported one-by-one. I hope you'll like the new possibilties of remote design and online access from (Safari) browser or iPhone/iPod Touch.

Snow Leopard? Well, I am waiting for my own copy of SL, but I am pretty sure it will work flawlessly. However, maybe the USB driver will complain. Next week I can tell you more on this.

so, it sounds like i need to

so, it sounds like i need to download ired2 and give it a try and  the one remote i have i'll have to import explicitly.

if the demo works, and i choose to upgrade my license to ired2, do i also need to purchase a license for my existing irtrans module?
