iRed 2 and Tiger

Hi,

Just about to install iRed for the first time (got my order or IRTrans equipment a few days ago)... :-)

The main Mac I plan to run iRed on for the time being is running  Tiger (its an older G3...and I still want to keep a machine that can run OS9 apps to get at old old data)...

I see from the release notes iRed2  2.0 build 260/261 says "Important Note: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) is not fully supported, yet!"

What does this mean in practice?  What doesn't work?

All my IRTrans equipemnt is via Ethernet not USB...

Thanks

Antony

No more 10.4

Antony,

I am sorry but this means that this OS is not supported anymore. Release Notes are a little bit outdated but on the iRed2 main web page the naked truth is carved in stone. The efforts to support Tiger has even increased with the release of Snow Leopard. Developing for 10.4 became harder and the number of Tiger installations is diminishing every day. You will have to stay with iRed 1 on the G3.

Regards, Robert

Download Last Version of iRed 1

Hi,

Where can I download the last version of iRed1?  The download page seems only to have iRed2.

If I have some machines running iRed1 and some iRed2 will I have problems?  For example will I be able to share remote control definition files?

Thanks

Found it

Ok found it... downloaded... now I need to get one of my iRed2 licenses switch... sent email.
