I am trying to evaluate iRed2 with a iTrans USB OEM IR module VF210 as supplied with OrigenAE cases.
0) I am running MacOS 10.5 (and do not intend to upgrade as ZFS is gone form 10.6)
1) The iTrans module and associated remote are working fine under Windows XP
2) the iTrans driver module 2.2.7 from your site is reported is the MacOS System Profiler - Extensions
3) The System Profiler also reports the USB device as
Product ID: 0xfc60
Vendor ID: 0x0403 (Future Technology Devices International Limited)
Version: 6.00
Serial Number: MMUN0000
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: MConsult
Location ID: 0xfa210000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 50
But I Red2 reports no IR devices except for a greyed out Apple IR.
So. Am I wrong in thinking that iRed2 can do this? I am told that the old iRed (1?) could (but if I install it it seems to hang on start up and I have to kill it).
Any help would be much appreciated
Alex
No OEM, I'm sorry
Alex,
unfortunately, no IRTrans OEM modules are supported. The demand is much too low to make me work on the necessary adaptions, and to buy devices with IRTrans OEM built-in.
