iRed/IRTrans doesn't recognize certain remote buttons when learning remote.

No matter what I do there are certain buttons on my Time Warner Cable universal remote that refuse to be learned by iRed2. Are there buttons that just can't be learned? or am I doing something wrong? What are my options?
have you tried out learning in "raw" mode? Do you have an Universal Learning receiver? What kind of IRTrans module do you have? For the LAN modules you can use the web interface of the module to play around with some settings like IR Receive Timeout.
Relating to your former posting: Do you encounter green flashing on the IRTrans, even when you're not trasnmitting IR signals to the IRTrans? That would point to IR noise in the room. Try to move the IRTrans to a different location, not with direct line of sight to LCDs or neons.
These particular buttons don't even register with the USB IRTrans. I don't get any light when I either use RAW mode or the basic capture mode. I do get a green light when I'm learning new ir codes and a red light when the IRTrans is recieving a previously recorded IR code. Should I not be getting a green light when I'm recording a new IR code? Also is it possible that the original remote is not sending an IR code for those specific buttons that aren't working?
I answered your second question in my original post.
Some hints
Scotty,

Green light or red light?
Green light means: received and/or learned IR code, red light means: transmitting IR code.
When the IRTrans is flashing red on learning, there is a problem.
Of course, several buttons on a remote do not actually send IR, e.g. buttons which only changes the mode of other buttons on the remote.
