EyeTV - iRed2/IRTrans randomly tuning to Live TV channel.

I have an EyeTV 250+ that is working in conjunction with iRed2/IRTrans. The symptom of what I'm seeing is that this setup is changing my channel when it is not asked to. An example is this I change the channel using EyeTV to HBO. Then my wife changes the channel to something else using our normal remote. Then after some arbitrary time the channel is changed back to HBO. Another situation is if you're on HBO, the EyeTV persists and still tunes to HBO every few minutes. It hits the proper channel numbers twice in a row. This is quite annoying. I've noticed this happens when you have the Live TV window open. I don't think it happens when Live TV is closed or if you're recording. Is this normal behavior?

Have you checked your triggers in iRed? Maybe you have incidentally set a trigger which waits for your remote's IR codes coming in and doing funny things?
What do you mean by "arbitrary time"? Triggers should work ASAP, so if this takes longer than, say 1 second, then there must be a different reason. Have you checked for "IR noise", i.e. is the IRTrans sometimes flashing green without an obviuous reason? Then a different position of the IRTrans could help.
You can also switch on Debug mode in iRed's preferences. Maybe the log files show me that EyeTV is asking for channel changes. This would be logged. (Make sure that you have the recent update of iRed installed. Else the debug mode will make iRed crash on the next start).
