What's new with v1.0.2?

What's new in v1.0.2? It isn't mentioned in the release notes. Something to do with 10.6.6?

 Hello all

(well, I'm afraid to be the lonely one for now ! :-D )

First, thanks Robert for this "Missing App", wished still my wife bought the first MacBook of our home, 2 years ago) and wondering why Apple had so much restricted the use of its Remote.

Well I've done some tests with different layers, modified them to fit my workflow, create new ones, for Logic for example.

I've noticed, after some deceptions and then some gropings, that for all the actions using modifier keys it's necessary to check the "Use special key mode" box to work properly ; if not, most of time (not always, it seems) ASCII characters are well sent but not the modifier key. I've test with several softs, specially as TextEdit to see more precisely what happened.

I only tested with keystrokes for now, as it was the shorter way for me to build new layers and for now (after the modifier keys problem solved), it seems that all combinations of keystorkes are possible. After these first encouraging results, I feel that the use of AppleScript will certainly increase a lot the possibilities. So perheaps some tricky programmations could be possible, as open a new file in QuickTime (an example I thought of for my own use),  or switch between several app layers, or with the mouse layer to perform some Finder actions … what can be interesting for a conference, a course, or even a show (I'm musician), things I still do with my keyboard, or with MIDI remote controls, but the use of IR could really encrease the remote abilities of the Mac …
