iRed2 - The Versions

2.5.2 (April 2022)

• Validated for macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) up to macOS 12 (Monterey)
• Fixed several crashes with IRTrans modules.
• IRTrans Translator is now correctly recognized as USB module
• Unfortunately still no native suppport for M1 Macs, though it runs flawlessly. There is still one library by FTDI not available for M1.

2.5 (April 2021)

• Validated for macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) up to macOS 11 (Big Sur)
• USB modules now work on macOS Big Sur. A driver is no longer necessary, instead the old driver needs to be uninstalled! See this site for details.
• iRed2 is running well on M1 Macs, aka "Apple Silicon", however it is still compiled for Intel. There is one library by FTDI not yet available for M1, stay tuned.

2.4.4 (February 2020)

• Validated for macOS 10.10 up to macOS 11 (Big Sur)
• Please note that USB modules will not work on macOS Big Sur. A driver update is currently under development at FTDI

2.4 (April 2019)

• Validated for macOS 10.10 up to macOS 10.15 (Catalina)

2.1.2 build 303 (August 9th, 2011) - Bugfixes

• BUGFIX: LED defaults were not correctly set. Please look at the modules setting for external (!) LEDs. It was falsely set from "no" to "1"
• BUGFIX: IR Code trigger were not working properly

• Bugfix: Duplicate UUIDs in remotes will be repaired on load
• Bugfix: Strange characters in remote and code names no longer crash the app

This new version 1.4 is not backward compatible to former versions. That means that older versions may not open files written in this new version. The new version, can open your "old" files, of course.

If you want to backup your files from 1.3, please save all VRCs and the whole folder iRed, located in Library/Application Support in your home folder.

Version 1.3 (November 16, 2004)
