Version 1.5 (August 14, 2005)
  • New "FTDI Driver for IRTrans", enabling hot-plugging of IRTrans without freezing iRed. This new driver may be installed directly on top of an existing old driver. A restart is necessary, though.
  • Sharing of iRed via Bonjour allows usage of one IRTrans over the local network

This new version 1.4 is not backward compatible to former versions. That means that older versions may not open files written in this new version. The new version, can open your "old" files, of course.

If you want to backup your files from 1.3, please save all VRCs and the whole folder iRed, located in Library/Application Support in your home folder.

Version 1.3 (November 16, 2004)
  • IR code transmission frequencies adjustable
  • "raw" IR codes may be learned for some special RCs
  • "Pronto" codes can be imported
  • ired:// protocol. So VRCs can be designed using HTML
  • iRed reads HTML-VRCs (thanks to Safari webkit) - preparation for Tiger's dashboard!
